Thank you very much for visiting Seibido Watch Shop. I am Fumino Kawamura, Representative Director of Seibido Co., Ltd.
We are a watch shop that sells interesting watches from all over the world that are hard to find in Japan. Whether we sell in-store or online, we take the responsibility to offer our customers a chance to see and touch the watches we have carefully selected, and we make sure to purchase them once a year at Baselworld, the world's most prestigious watch fair in Switzerland, the home of watches, so that we can see, touch, and feel the watches for ourselves.
Rather than being influenced by the times or making decisions solely at the discretion of the manufacturers we handle, the Seibido staff make sure to stock only watches that they themselves love and can responsibly recommend to Japanese customers.
Our mission is to introduce to as many Japanese customers as possible a watch that is not just a tool for checking the time, but a watch that can be held in the hand, worn every day, adapted to one's own style, and enjoyed from the depths of one's heart.
The brand watches sold at Shobido Watch Store include many genuine brand watches that are not well known in Japan.
When the current CEO, Kawamura, first went to Baselworld in Switzerland, he was deeply puzzled as to why, despite there being so many interesting and fun watches, Japan is swept up in the popularity of famous brands.
The more we attend Baselworld every year, the more we want to let as many Japanese customers as possible know that there are even more interesting watches in the world! With this in mind, we are gradually stocking a selection of imported watches.
We at Seibido, who sell lesser-known authentic brand watches, hold an "in-house watch study session" once a week on Sundays to provide easy-to-understand explanations of the functions and usage of watches.
It is our joy to have the Seibido staff share with our customers the joy of owning a watch, its convenience, how to use it, its history, and much more.
When I come into contact with a watch every day, I realize that a watch has a heart, just like a human being.
There are times when we are unwell, and times when we are in perfect health...and just like a health check, we have to have our watches overhauled once every five years, just like humans who live their lives to stay healthy, so watches are no different.
Therefore, as a watch specialty store, we inspect watches for any defects when they arrive from the manufacturer, and also check them before shipping them to customers.
However, some watches still malfunction soon after arriving at the customer's home.
In such cases, please do not use the product and contact us. We are not a reliable nearby hospital, but we will respond responsibly.
*The checks we conduct on watches when they arrive at the manufacturer and before they are shipped mainly focus on the inside of the watch.
*Cracks or dirt on the strap after use by the customer, or water getting in when the crown is not tightened, etc. cannot be detected by inspection before the product is inspected. Watches are delicate, so please use them with care and follow the rules.
The Shobido physical store is located in Obiyacho Arcade in Kochi City, the center of Kochi Prefecture, the birthplace of Sakamoto Ryoma.
For customers who are a little unsure about purchasing from an online store, we offer the opportunity to see the actual watch.
However, not all products listed on our online store are in stock in-store, so we would appreciate it if you could contact us before visiting the store.
The Shobido physical store provides rental services for the TV dramas "Operation Proposal," "Omiyasan 6," and "Honey and Clover," as well as the films "Permanent Wild Rose," "Yatterman," "Real Onigokko 2," and "Rock."
We are very pleased that this interesting brand watch, which is still not well known in Japan, can be brought to the attention of as many customers as possible through the media.
