Recommended CommentsThis is the last mechanical railroad watch equipped with a wristwatch movement, released when Seiko, born in the turbulent Showa era, ceased production in 1999. It is a hand-wound movement that was popular in the latter half of the Showa era, until it was replaced by quartz. It has no special engravings, so you can customize it to your own specifications with an engraving, or use it as a basic watch.

This is the successor to the 19 SEIKO, which was loved by railway workers during the Showa era of the Japanese National Railways due to its high precision.

During his time at Seikosha, founder Kintaro Hattori developed the 19th Seiko, a watch with high precision that could rival the foreign-made watches that were in use at the time.

Since 1972, watches have evolved into wristwatch movements, and then into the same quartz movements as today's watches.

Seiko pocket watches were popular as Japan's leading "working watches."

It has a history of being used not only on railways but also during wartime, such as in the cockpit of a Zero fighter.

▼19 Seiko Precision Pocket Watch 15 Jewels Diaflex / Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation Purchaser, Mr. Hosshan (50s)

■Question 1: What made you decide to purchase the product?

Recently I've become interested in train travel and wanted a railway clock to use when I'm on the train or as a table clock at home, so I was thinking of buying the current Seiko quartz type.
However, I was introduced to the 19 Seiko at a pocket watch exhibition, and since I've always loved mechanical watches, I decided to buy it.
There was a defect when it was delivered, but it was repaired quickly and I've been using it without any problems. Thank you very much. I like the 5 beat sound. I have a feeling I'll be hooked on 19 Seiko watches from now on.

■Question 2: If you have any advice about our customer service or service, please let us know.

I received a thank you email from your store, but although I purchased it at an exhibition in Osaka, the email stated that it was from a "pocket watch exhibition held in Akihabara, Tokyo." I hope that this will be corrected in the future.

■Question 3: If you don't mind, please tell us your occupation.
