The 19 Seiko watches were used by employees during the Japan National Railways era and are an essential part of Japan's railway history, boasting world-class accuracy.

This is a high-spec watch with 15 jewels and a stop second hand. 19 SEIKO watches in good condition are becoming harder to come by, but this one has been overhauled and is still in good working order.

The case back reads "Showa 43 Kita 409 JNR" and is the final model with black hands.

During the Seikosha era, founder Kintaro Hattori developed the 19th Seiko, aiming to create a high-precision watch that could rival the foreign-made watches that were in use at the time.

This watch continued to evolve through small, repeated minor changes until 1972.
