OMEGA has its origins in a workshop founded by watchmaker Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848. While OMEGA is a Swiss brand that produces a wide range of watches, including military watches and diver's watches, it is also a globally trusted brand, having served as the timekeeper for the Olympic Games.
The movement is the Cal. 960, developed by Auguste Raymond and based on the Unitas 6497, now produced by ETA. Its rose gold color contrasts with the exterior, and the brand name is engraved on it. It features a shock-resistant mechanism, making it a hand-wound movement that can be used with confidence even by those unsure about antique or vintage watches.
